Shannen Randell is a graphic designer, a Wellingtonian based in the well known windy city Wellington. She has two diplomas from ACG Yoobee School of Design, majoring in Computer Graphic Design and Digital Media.

In my world, I love creation and design. I am always inspired from media, animals, books, music, the places I live, the people I know, Disney, networking, photography, my family and friends that lead me to come up with infinite amounts of ideas. I like my design style to be minimalistic, clean, simple yet vibrant and impacting.

This is how Graphic Design came to be my passion and what I love to do. My initial passion was to work with animals, yet I was torn for my love of computers, photography and making designs. So one fateful day, I heard of Yoobee, and discovered all of it could be in one place. Graphic Design completely opened up opportunities for fulfilling my dream.

My motto always is: create, design, love.

Once you get to know me, I am a fast talker, a definite geeky woman, lover of fandoms such as Harry Potter, a reader, a designer, a dreamer, an open minded woman, an enthusiastic and happy one, but most importantly, a driven young woman wanting to find herself in this world.

Studying at ACG Yoobee School of Design, over two to three years, I learnt about design software programmes such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, also graphic design, art and photography skills.

If you asked me what my favourite project was, it would be a difficult one. Considering I have liked the majority of my briefs during the year, my favourite was Group Project, working with fellow classmate, friend and graphic designer Jess Knipping for Direct Mailer. This was creating a Save the Tiger campaign for SWAZI, the outdoor hunting clothing gear.
